When medical experience, Jewish tradition, and genuine human care come together, the result is a calm, safe, and respectful experience for parents and baby alike. Dr. Shlomo Steve Jackson has guided families for over 35 years as a mohel physician — with the highest medical professionalism, sensitivity, availability, and personal care every step of the way.
No obligation — just a calm conversation. Hebrew and English, at any reasonable hour.

Dr. Shlomo (Steve) Jackson was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, and immigrated to Israel in 1976. He is a graduate of the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Medicine through the IDF Academic Reserve (Atuda), and also studied for a year at Yeshivat Har Etzion (a Hesder yeshiva) in Gush Etzion.
His military service included a series of medical and command roles — battalion doctor in Battalion 12 of the Golani Brigade, brigade doctor in Brigade 300 in the western sector of Lebanon, and combat doctor in Unit 669, the airborne search-and-rescue unit.
After his military service he began his residency in neurosurgery at Beilinson Hospital. During the residency he returned to regular service and served for two years as commander of the evacuation section in Unit 669. On completing his residency and military service, he undertook a two-year fellowship in spine surgery at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada.
Since 2003, Dr. Jackson has served as a senior physician in the Neurosurgery Department at Rabin Medical Center – Beilinson Campus, in the spine unit.
Alongside his medical work, Dr. Jackson is a mohel physician with over 35 years of experience, and over the years has guided thousands of families in Israel and abroad with sensitivity, professionalism, and dedication.
“A brit milah is not only a medical procedure or a religious ceremony — it is a meaningful, moving moment for the whole family.”

Her professionalism alongside her warm personality have made her a beloved and respected figure among many families.
Dina Shmaryahu is part of the clinic team and is widely praised by families for her gentle, professional care and the devoted support she provides throughout the brit process and up to the follow-up check-up. At Dr. Jackson's clinic, special emphasis is placed not only on high medical professionalism but also on personal care, full availability, and continuous support for families. The brit ceremonies take place at a private, spacious, and pleasant clinic in Ra'anana, in a calm, family, and respectful atmosphere.
The clinic is set up to welcome babies and parents in maximum comfort, with full attention to sterility, medical safety, and complete privacy.
For families' convenience, the clinic is fully wheelchair accessible.
The brit ceremony is held with respect for Jewish tradition, in a moving, pleasant, and respectful atmosphere.
The clinic has all the items and equipment needed for the ceremony — including wine, tallitot, and kippot — while keeping a warm, family atmosphere.

Before the brit, the parents and baby enter a private preparation room, accompanied by the clinic nurse.
At this stage the baby is prepared, parents receive clear guidance, and the procedure and the care for the first 24 hours after the brit are explained.
The goal is to give parents a sense of calm, confidence, and full understanding throughout the process.
At the parents' request, Dr. Jackson can administer local anesthesia before the procedure, to give the baby maximum comfort and the parents a sense of confidence and calm.
Right after the preparation, the brit ceremony is held in an adjacent room, in a family, calm, and moving atmosphere.
After the ceremony, parents receive detailed guidance on caring for the baby at home.
The day after the brit, a proper check-up takes place at Dr. Jackson's clinic, to examine and monitor the baby's recovery and answer any questions the parents may have.
Even after the brit, the family is never left alone.
Parents are welcome, if they wish, to come for additional check-ups by appointment, to consult at any stage, to send photos if needed, and to receive personal, available support throughout the recovery.
The clinic is available as needed for any question or consultation.
